On November 29 & 30 2007, the Australian Government Department of Education, Employment and Workplace Relations funded the implementation of a National Seminar on Languages Education as part of the School Languages Programme. The Asia Education Foundation managed the development and implementation of the seminar.
The seminar was held at the Rydges Hotel, Carlton, Melbourne and attended by 146 delegates from across Australia representing state and territory education jurisdictions, schools, parent bodies, professional associations and universities.
The seminar program consisted of keynote presentations, panel sessions, state and territory and national group planning meetings.
