Who says these studies should be included?

In discussions about generating improvement it is helpful to have authoritative sources to support your views. In this case they are very strong.

It is a national policy agreed by all Australian Ministers of Education in 2005.

The Australian Secondary Principals Association (ASPA) and the Australian Primary Principals Association (APPA) have lent their strong support to this policy. APPA saying for example, 'studies of Asia promote the knowledge, understanding and relationships we need to live as a civil, cosmopolitan, democratic nation, on the doorstep of the Asian continent.'

Both peak national parent bodies, the Australian Council for State School Organizations (ACSSO) and the Australian Parents Council (APC), have expressed strong support for the development of studies of Asia. ACSSO has policy (go to page 119) in this regard.
