Teaching Suggestions

Here is an additional activity for teachers to consider using in this unit. In all cases where reference is made to a website teachers should decide whether to download the material and duplicate it for students, or whether to allow students to access the websites themselves.

Statistics on Buddhism in Australia

Students compare statistics on religion in Australia and hypothesise about reasons for the growth of Buddhism in Australia. They undertake research on the Internet and perhaps invite a Buddhist to visit the school.
