One of the best ways for Australian students to learn about young Thai people is to communicate with them directly. The student acitivities provide useful source material and provide pathways for establishing communication with Thai students. Accompanying questions guide students to identify issues relating to Thai youth. This student worksheet directs students to the Bangkok Post website which regularly provides current information about young people in Thailand. The questions help students to comprehend and analyse the source material they locate on the website. There is also a link to a website giving contact details to assist students to establish a pen pal relationship with a Thai student. This student worksheet provides the opportunity for students to undertake a comparative study of their own school and Thai schools. Note that the schools listed at the Bangkok Post website are selected by Bangkok Post staff and therefore may not give a representative view of Thai schools in general.
