Becoming Asia Literate Grants to Schools
The NALSSP Becoming Asia Literate: Grants to Schools is a key component of the National Asian Languages and Studies in Schools Program (NALSSP) and is managed by the Asia Education Foundation on behalf of the Australian Government. The grants provide $7.24 million to Australian schools through three annual funding rounds between 2009 and 2011. They assist schools to promote the teaching and learning of Asian languages and/or the studies of Asia related to one or more of the four NALSSP target countries – China, Indonesia, Japan and Korea.
