John Waser
John Waser, National Manager, National Coach and Athlete Career and Education (NCACE) Program, Australian Sports Commission, has worked within the sporting and education industries for twenty-five years specialising in career management. John holds the position as National Manager of the National Coach and Athlete Career and Education (NCACE) program which is jointly funded by the Australian and State Governments. It is managed through the Australian Sports Commission and delivered by the network of the state institutes and academies of sport and the Australian Institute of Sport (AIS).
Under Johns guidance the National CACE program has expanded to include 140 of Australia’s elite sport coaches, Australia’s elite dancers including dancers from the Australian Ballet, Sydney Dance Company and Bangarra Dance Company as well as professional footballers.
John has undertaken studies for a Masters in Business Administration, specialising in Strategic Human Resource Management. He has also completed a Graduate Certificate in Career and Education Management and Bachelor of Education, and has experience and an understanding and knowledge of the Australian and International sporting industry.
John has a very broad experience in Education, having been directly involved at levels K to 12 as well as lecturing in the tertiary system in Applied Sciences through to Post Graduate level. John has worked as a consultant to professional sporting bodies, corporate organisations and has experience and an understanding and knowledge of Australian and International sport including presently consulting for the International Olympic Committee.
John holds a strong belief that both academic/vocational and elite performance pathways can be successfully integrated.
