Julie Halifax

In 2006 Julie completed a Bachelor in International Studies (majoring in Arabic) at Deakin University. During 2005–06 she worked with migrant and refugee communities at Victorian Arabic Social Services in the Western Suburbs developing self esteem amongst culturally and linguistically diverse youth and challenging racism and gang culture in the region. In 2007 Julie moved to Canberra to join the Graduate Programme at the Department of Immigration and Citizenship, where she is currently working.
