Kurt Mullane
Manager Professional Learning, Asia Education Foundation MA (Asian Studies), Dip Ed, BEd
Kurt has a background as a primary teacher and has spent time working in schools in Australia and the UK. He also has a Masters degree in Asian studies, with a research focus on China-Tibet relations.
For the past seven years Kurt has been managing the development and delivery of a range of professional learning programs for the Asia Education Foundation. Programs have included studies of Asia post-graduate courses, work with pre-service teacher educators and train-the-trainer packages based around Access Asia curriculum resources.
Kurt’s role involves partnerships with a wide range of education stakeholders in Australia and across the Asia region, including principal groups, parents, teacher professional associations, universities, government agencies and not-for-profit organizations.
Kurt has been involved in the development of print, multimedia and online curriculum resources relating to the studies of Asia, management of the Asian Languages Professional Learning Program and the Endeavour Language Teacher Fellowships and led teacher study tour programs in Korea, Thailand and Vietnam.
