Internationalising the curriculum: Studies of Asia in Australian Schools
What do schools do when they set about internationalising their curricula and programs with a focus on Asia? The purpose of this publication is to give space to teachers’ voices for some description of studies of Asia as they appear in practice in a variety of Australian schools. Small schools, rural settings, urban schools, multicultural secondary colleges and schools with largely monocultural student populations are featured in this text. Teachers of English, Social Education, The Arts and Languages provide first-hand accounts of what can be done with both small and large amounts of resourcing and teacher knowledge.
This resource is developed and published by Curriculum Corporation as a program of the Asia Education Foundation which provides schools and teachers with a range of services to engage young Australians with Asia. The Foundation is a joint activity of Curriculum Corporation and the University of Melbourne's Asialink Centre.
