Tool Kit Modules

The Tool Kit Modules are a set of professional learning activities, which assist schools to incorporate studies of Asia within the curriculum. They can be used consecutively or individually depending on the school’s current level of Asia engagement.
The audit templates included in the ToolKit modules, enable principals to investigate where studies of Asia is or is not already included in the curriculum, assess teacher knowledge and experience, review Asia-related library resources and identify community resources available to enrich and support the endeavour.
Each Module provides easy to use professional learning activities. They are supported by handouts and PowerPoint slides with accompanying presenter’s notes. Be sure to click onto the Notes View page to access the presenter notes to support your presentations.
They move sequentially and focus on:
- developing the rationale for studies of Asia
- determining school readiness
- defining a school vision
- developing and implementing a school program for engaging students with Asia.
