The Arts

Charting art in Asia in the 20th century

Alison bookcoverAlison Carroll’s book The Revolutionary Century, Art in Asia 1900–2000 introduces the major themes and practices of art in Asia in the twentieth century.

Alison explains the rationale for the study. ‘In an introduction to a century lived by half the world’s population I can only cite the impossiblity of fairness to all areas, and declare a desire to focus on one special trend of the new to give readers a starting point from which to look further.’

The attractive 208 page hardback volume can be purchased for $99 incl. GST. Please contact Jenny Zimmer, jenny.zimmer@macmillan.com.au, or (613) 9825 1099.

"Success isn't about what we are born with, its about what we do with our lives. If the poorest boy in Sydney can become young Australian of the year, anything is possible."
