Lesson plans (based on Snapshots series)

  1. School activity
This sheet asks students to list the activities they wish to survey in class. Then they are asked to display their results on the graph provided. The graph is a horizontal bar graph, similar to the one on the website.

The website graph can be printed when on screen. It is a measure of the total choices submitted by users visiting the school activity page and provides relative value only.

  2. Quiz Activity Page
The questions and activities on this sheet require students to research and record information. The activities lead to extension activities, such as comparing populations of cities (see p. 27 Snapshots of Asia Teacher Guide). Teacher instruction will be required, particularly if students are to make masks.
  3. The Strongest Person in the World
This student activity sheet requires students to draw an alternative ending to the tale 'The Strongest Person in the World', Snapshots of Asia Teacher Guide, page 70. Students should be familiar with the original story.

On completing the alternative ending, students could share their new stories in pairs or small groups.
