Anthologies of Asia Professional Learning Program
This set of workshops is designed to support teaching of the three English anthologies: Impressions, Reflections and Dimensions. Each workshop aims to develop participants’ knowledge and understanding of the relevant text/s and online student activities and to identify concrete ways to build Asia-literacy within the secondary English classroom.

Anthologies of Asia Professional Learning module
This module is designed for trainers from each state and territory who have significant expertise in the relevant learning area, studies of Asia and teacher professional development. Participants will have the capacity to deliver subsequent programs in their state and territory.
Module purposes?
This module is primarily a training program that will enable participants to provide educators with professional development about the NALSAS Studies of Asia materials.
It is anticipated that the module will be the basic resource used by participants to provide subsequent professional development for educators. With minimal modification, all sections are suitable for presentation to groups of educators. This module allows users the opportunity to adopt a systematic progression through the entire program, or to extract sections and sequences according to specific requirements.
Module aims
The workshop aims to:
- develop participants’ knowledge and understanding of the relevant text/s and web sites
- enhance participants’ knowledge and understanding of Asia
- support the development of professional development programs which respond to local needs
- examine ways of integrating the relevant text/s and web sites into existing curriculum
Module outcomes
At the end of the workshop, participants should:
- have increased knowledge and understanding of the relevant text/s and web site
- be able to use the relevant texts and web site in classroom programs
- be able to deliver professional development programs to groups of teachers based on the key text/s and web sites.
