Indonesia

In 2008 the Australia–Indonesia BRIDGE Project was established as an initiative of the Australia–Indonesia Institute  (AII) and the AEF, funded by The Myer Foundation. BRIDGE aims to increase Australian students' knowledge and understanding of Indonesia, particularly the role of Islam in contemporary Indonesian society and further Indonesian students' knowledge and understanding of contemporary Australia. There are 65 Indonesia BRIDGE partnerships. New funding of $3.6million will see a further 80 established. Applications are now open for Australian schools to apply to participate in the Australia – Indonesia BRIDGE Project 2012. Read more and apply.

Korea

Established in 2009 Australia–Korea BRIDGE Project is funded by the Australian Government through the Australia–Korea Foundation  and is implemented in partnership with Chungbuk National University, Korea and Australian Education International (AEI), Seoul. The program aims to increase Australian students’ and teachers’ knowledge and understanding of Korea and further Korean students' knowledge and understanding of contemporary Australia. There are currently 16 partnerships involved in Korea BRIDGE.

China

Announced in 2010, the Australia – China BRIDGE Project supports 24 partnerships between schools in Australia and China. It is funded under the NALSSP's Collaboration and Partnership Fund in partnership with Chaoyang District and Shandong Province.
