The Power of Stones
In Korea stones are believed to have unseen powers.
There are shops where you can buy stones! Small stones, large stones, smooth stones, rough stones, stones in the shape of eggs and of human beings, stones standing up and stones lying down. Stones in pairs and stones apart. Stones for display in the home. Stones for pavements, stones for walls, stones for gateways and stones for buildings, temples, pagodas and palaces. Mostly it seems to me that Koreans like piling stones on top of one another but, using ancient skills and understanding, they are arranged in a most magical manner.
