bio

Ben works as the Trade Commissioner for Austrade in Bangkok. Before moving to Thailand, Ben worked in Austrade’s East Asia Growth Markets branch in Canberra and undertook a six-month secondment as trade commissioner in Jakarta while working as a Senior Export Advisor at Austrade in Sydney. From 1993, Ben spent six years working in Jakarta, first at Indonesian law firm Gani Djemat & Partners and then as the operations manager of a small joint-venture specialising in golf course construction.
