bio

Paula’s professional life began as a physical education teacher, from which she began working in health promotion. After moving to Queensland she began work with the Department of Communities, in areas of social impact assessment and community engagement and later policy and program development. During this time, Paula took extended periods of leave to work in conflict-ridden countries or in areas that had experienced natural disasters across the Asia region. Her role was largely training and capacity building.
