Following Malcolm’s first visit to Japan as a high school exchange student, he spent a 10 year period of travel between Australia and Japan while completing university degrees in science and business, working on the ski patrol in the central Japan Alps and studying the commercialisation of technology out of Japanese universities as a Monbusho scholar. Early in his working life Malcolm worked for a Japanese venture capital company based in Melbourne and in a start-up tech company in the US. Over the past ten years Malcolm has been investing in start-up tech companies and in December 2015 joined Cisco to lead their investment activity in Australia and New Zealand.
