China: Then and Now for Leaders in Education
The China: Then and Now for Leaders in Education program has been specifically designed to empower school leaders and education professionals to develop a deeper knowledge and understanding of Chinese society and historic context. It also offers an exceptional opportunity to enhance your understanding of Chinese education today whilst exchanging views and sharing good practices with Chinese counterparts.
This program will enable participants to learn first-hand about a diverse and rapidly changing China. You will gain deep understanding of education in China today in the context of economic development, the urban/rural divide and everyday life.
Over ten days, participants will visit four great cities: Shanghai, the economic engine; Hangzhou, said to be like ‘heaven on earth'; Nanjing, home of one of China’s leading universities and centre of Chinese history; and, Beijing, the political and cultural centre. The program will include visits to world-famous historical sites such as the Great Wall of China, but also high-tech business regions, social enterprises, and cultural centers.
Opportunities to interact with Chinese educators will be provided through a two-day Principal Forum, school visits, and formal lectures at the top-ranked Nanjing University.
There are ten subsidies available for this study program
