Introduction
The Asia Scope and Sequence for English:
- articulates key curriculum concepts and content across the compulsory years of schooling (to year 10);
- provides advice and support to teachers of English in order to facilitate their efforts to engage young Australians with Asia; and
- points teachers to existing exemplary resources that allow students to engage with Asia in the English classroom.
This resource provides teachers of English with opportunities for teachers to integrate the cross-curriculum priority of Asia and Australia's engagement of Asia by introducing Asia-related texts into their classrooms.
