Getting Started with Intercultural Language Learning
Intercultural Language Learning (IcLL) connects the study of culture to language learning and sees them as integrated and holistic. IcLL requires students to reflect on the knowledge and assumptions they make about their own cultures as well as those of the target language. It reformulates what it means to teach a language and provides new and richer ways of connecting language learning to other learning domains. Resources on this site include professional development modules as well as examples of how schools have implemented IcLL.
