City planning in Shanghai and Tokyo, marine protection in the Philippines and traditional fishing in Thailand are examples of environmental challenges and the way people in Asia are interacting with their environment.

Each card features a richly detailed map and photographs. The cards encourage shared investigation among small groups, and are designed to stimulate higher order thinking and discussion.

A teacher guide contains commentary on the photographs, student learning activities for each set, and blackline masters.
