Voices & Values: Citizenship in Asia
This magazine-style resource for middle years and lower secondary students investigates what it means to be a citizen of the Asian region. Designed for SOSE and History classrooms, it encourages students to adopt an enquiring approach, to listen to the dynamic voices of young people throughout Asia. By doing so, Australian students will expose themselves to new perspectives – to the ideas and opinions of young people in Asia, and to the civic issues they consider most important. The book is divided into six thematic and country-specific sections: Citizens Count, Caring for the Earth, Indonesian Unity in Diversity, National Identity, Japanese Style and Chinese Family Matters.
