This is a book and video package focusing on contemporary India. There are several sections which could be used in conjunction with Voices and Values: Citizenship in Asia. The segment on 'Freedom of Choice' highlights democratic processes and young people learning political systems. 'Love is in the Air' deals with concerns about and responses to environmental issues. 'Dreams, Mothers-in-Law and Video Tapes' deals with values and contemporary change.

This book has a number of pertinent resource sheets on Vietnamese images from the past, heroes and holidays, artifacts from national museums and Vietnam's emblem and national anthem. It contains a section entitled 'Vietnam: A Nation in Change' with suggestions on how to use the section to investigate the concept of citizenship.
