Building connections with Asia

A twilight professional learning program for Queensland teachers that provides the opportunity to share and explore curriculum resources and classroom programs that develop your students’ global competence, knowledge and understanding of Asia and Australia’s engagement with Asia.

  • Network with Queensland teachers to share classroom practice via dynamic  #teachmeet presentations
  • Explore resources that enable you to provide learning opportunities for students to develop global competencies and Asia capabilities
  • Engage with new technologies that you’ll be able to use to connect your students with students and classrooms around the world
  • Connect with school educators nationally to share innovative classroom practice

This professional learning opportunity for Western Australian teachers is presented by the Asia Education Foundation’s globally acclaimed BRIDGE School Partnership project.

As Manager of Professional Learning at the Asia Education Foundation, Lottie designs and delivers professional learning nationally through online and face-to-face methods. Lottie has specialised across a range of topics including global competencies, leadership skills, practical pedagogies and developing intercultural understanding. She has worked as a teacher, curriculum, program and professional learning developer, as well as in education management. Lottie spent ten years working with education start-ups in both the public and private sectors in Beijing and has delivered professional learning in six countries around the globe.

As Director of Professional learning at AEF, Lisa leads international programs that focus on innovative use of technologies. Lisa has worked as a classroom teacher, Innovations & Excellence Educator and as Curriculum Manager for the Department of Education and Training (VIC).

Lisa has a strong commitment to providing learning opportunities that take students beyond the four walls of the classroom.

Lou Bowe

As the founder and director of Whole School Partners, Louise brings her educational experience and knowledge of 21st century teaching tools to school leaders and classroom educators.

Louise has worked as a Senior Policy Officer with the Department of Education and Training, Victoria and more recently manager of User Engagement atEducation Services Australia. Louise has been a lead learner in primary classrooms for 20 years across Australia and in the United Kingdom
