The Korean Studies Workshop program provides Australian educators with the opportunity to travel to South Korea and learn about the country first-hand.

Dates: 6-14 October 2017 The Korean Studies Workshop Program presents a unique professional learning opportunity, by immersing participants in new and different cultural contexts. Each day of the program is an opportunity to engage in a facilitated process of experiential learning and reflection.

The Korean Studies Workshop Program will enable educators to:

  • Explore intercultural issues within the context of one of the world’s fastest emerging social, cultural and economic powerhouses
  • Explore intercultural issues within the context of one of the world’s fastest emerging social, cultural and economic powerhouses
  • Forge people-to-people links with individuals and organisations in South Korea that can support future curriculum collaboration
An expert pre-departure program includes a webinar to prepare participants for the program and an online interactive briefing document with key information on program partners (Korea Foundation and EWHA Womens’ University), information on Korean culture, etiquette advice and an overview of Korea’s history and education system.

There are 20 scholarships available for this study program that will be allocated to the first to apply.
