Dan is the founder of Language Connection, a youth-run not-for-profit organisation that connects learners of languages with each other through language exchanges, social events and conferences. He is a self-taught speaker of Japanese and Chinese. He completed a Master of Education taught in Chinese from Nanjing University and was a part time host and actor for Jiangsu TV. He has also appeared on the hit show 'If you are the one' (3/8/2013).
