Indonesia Berbeda Study Program

Indonesia Berbeda has been specifically designed to empower Australian educators to develop a deeper knowledge and understanding of Indonesia to support cultural and language programs in your school community.

Participants will be provided with a unique opportunity to experience first-hand the incredibly rich and complex fabric of Indonesian society. You will gain deep understanding of traditional and contemporary Indonesian cultures, learn about environmental issues, disaster management, sustainability and engage with contemporary Islam through the lens of local educators.

Over 11 days, participants will visit Yogyakarta, Jakarta and Makassar.

You will return to the classroom with a much deeper understanding of Indonesia and its people, along with a range of resources that will help you better connect studies of Indonesia with Australia’s place in the world.

The program is designed for teachers across all learning areas and all levels of Indonesian language ability. Although, Indonesian language is not a specific focus of this study program, language-learning opportunities abound throughout the program and daily activities.

Cost: $3200.00 (Twin share land cost and single room supplement $550.00)
