Myanmar Study Program
Myanmar is one of the most astonishing and undiscovered destinations in Asia: a land that is steeped in fascinating history and traditions.
Be part of a unique professional learning opportunity to connect with Myanmar’s people and educators as the country starts to open its doors to the world. This exclusive 12-day study program will provide educators with the opportunity to visit major sites of religious significance in both urban and rural settings across Yangon, Inle Lake, Bagan and Mandalay to engage in experiences that build knowledge of historical, social, political and economic trends in Myanmar. Participants will also have the opportunity to experience the monastic education system on school visits and become part of an international professional learning network with like-minded educators and school communities.
You will return to your school with new knowledge and understanding of Myanmar’s history, geography and society and better equipped to implement the Australian Curriculum’s cross-curriculum priority of Asia and Australia’s engagement with Asia across learning areas.
