The Asia Scope and Sequence documents highlight key studies of Asia concepts and content that can be incorporated into the P–10 English, Studies of Society and Environment and The Arts. The documents identify opportunities for teachers within these curriculum areas to introduce or strengthen engagement with Asia, as opposed to requiring additions to content or approach, by:

• providing teachers with advice and support to engage young Australians with Asia;
• pointing teachers to existing exemplary resources that allow students to engage with Asia; and
• linking teachers to a repository of freely available and accessible curriculum materials.

English Units of Work

Twelve units of work have been written to support the use of the Asia Scope and Sequence English. They provide teachers with a range of practical and exemplary activity types which teachers can use as is or build on in the English or Literacy classroom. There are 6 Primary English units and 6 Secondary English units.

SOSE Units of Work

Twelve units of work have been written to support the use of the Asia Scope and Sequence for Studies of Society and Environment. They provide SOSE teachers with a range of practical and exemplary teaching activities. There are 6 Primary SOSE units and 6 Secondary SOSE units.

The Arts Units of Work

Ten units of work have been written to support the use of the Asia Scope and Sequence for The Arts. They provide Arts teachers with a range of practical and exemplary teaching activities. The units can be downloaded as a single PDF or singly (see below).
