bio

Wai is a Chinese-American author and has lived in Sydney for more than 7 years. She has published 2 titles for children with the University of Queensland Press; Chook Chook: Mei's Secret Pets and its companion Chook Chook: Little & Lo in the City that are both set in China. Her books aim to bring traditional Chinese values and culture and make these ideas familiar to a young Australian audience. Wai is also experienced with writing in other forms including editorial for magazine, online as well as copywriting for creative based advertising agencies.
