bio

Cynthia first studied languages at secondary level, ultimately majoring in Japanese at university. Cynthia has held positions with Nippon Steel’s Sydney branch office, in investment analysis for an international mining house, in tourism design for Japanese visitors to Australia, and in teaching Japanese in schools. More recently, she has been involved in national intercultural languages projects, and as an educator of pre-service and incumbent languages teachers. Currently, Cynthia is an Intercultural Languages Education Consultant and President of the Modern Language Teachers’ Association of Queensland.
