bio

Damian has been working at the ABC for several years, most recently as a sports reporter. Prior to employment with the ABC, Damian completed a PhD in Media and Communications and during these studies, also completed a Diploma of Languages (Indonesia), which included two stints studying and working in Indonesia. He undertook an internship with an Indonesian news outlet in Jakarta, and a research project on religious tolerance in Lombok during this time. Damian is currently based in Darwin after covering the Rio Olympics.
