Craig has been employed as a Fisheries Scientist at CSIRO since 1987, and for the past 15 years has been working on collaboration projects with Indonesia that have, as their ultimate goal, improved fisheries management and sustainable fisheries. Capacity development of Indonesia’s fisheries scientists is a key feature of the work as are consultations with all stakeholders at all levels. Craig’s Bahasa Indonesia skills, acquired when he was in secondary school in Melbourne, have proved invaluable in all areas of the work.
