bio

Kirra Watt is the Victorian Government International Coordination Office's Senior Project Officer. In this role, Kirra is responsible for supporting the operational management of Victoria’s international business offices. Kirra has worked for the Victorian Government for almost one year across a variety of roles, spanning across education, regional development and small business portfolios. Prior to joining the Department, Kirra was a Project Officer and Program Coordinator in the education sector, and has worked as an international teacher in several countries across the Asia-Pacific. Kirra has a Masters degree in International Education Policy, professional accreditation as a teacher, and a degree in fisheries science. She undertook a development studies program with the Australian Consortium for In-Country Indonesian Studies (ACICIS) in Jakarta which allowed her to undertake a placement at Australia Awards Indonesia. She has an interest in travel and adventure with a black-tip in Tae Kwon Do and is a qualified dive master. She has a special fondness for the Asia region, particularly Indonesia and Korea, where she has lived and worked for more than 5 years.
