Growing Global Citizens

Growing Global Citizens brings eight mentor schools (Leading Global Schools) and 16 mentee schools (Aspiring Global Schools) together to explore, develop, and support one another in enhancing intercultural learning and global citizenship in education.

Designed and delivered by Asia Education Foundation (AEF), Growing Global Citizens aims to support schools and their networks to better link ambition, strategy, and practice across local, global, and intercultural contexts.

There are three Course phases of Growing Global Citizens are: Insights, Connections, and Capabilities.

Each phase involves reflection, action and networking for mentor and mentee schools that help contextualise and scale the impact of the program.

Initiative Objectives

The three key objectives of Growing Global Citizens are: 

  1.  Deepen educator’s understanding of global citizenship and intercultural learning in schools
  2. Provide educators with scaffolds to collect evidence and take practical action in their schools
  3. Develop stronger school networks locally and globally that benefit school communities

Each Growing Global Citizens Course consists of four in-depth workshops as well as online webinars and mentoring, curated resources, online course packages and mentoring, international engagement, detailed evaluation and reporting, and involvement of key experts and networks.
