Supporting the Australian Curriculum for English
Inclusion of Asia-related texts into the study of English will assist teachers to realise the cross-curriculum priority of Asia and Australia's engagement with Asia in the study of English and to make an important contribution to student knowledge, skills and understanding of our region through the Australian Curriculum.
The texts are presented in lists that relate to the content descriptions of the Australian Curriculum for English at each year or stage and offer a choice from a range of age-appropriate texts. Each list from Foundation to Year 2 can be sorted by author, title or setting and in addition by text type for Years 3–10. Each text is accompanied by a description to assist teachers in text selection.
